For the emulation and book assignment, I will be focusing on the use of color and lighting in Monet's Impressionist Sunrise paintings. I shot my images through an airplane window while traveling, and tried to focus on the changing colors as the sun set. I incorporated images of the clouds to capture the textured strokes used in Monet's paintings. I'll be organizing these images into a flag book, though I haven't decided if I want to use a different image for each flag, or if I want to cut up one of the images to create one large photo. Here are some of Monet's Impressionist Sunrise paintings
Here are the symmetrical portraits I shot. Rather than making diptychs reflecting both the right and left side of the model's face, I shot one symmetrical image and one normal portrait, to indicate the differences between the two.
